The Department of English Language, College of Basic Education Organizes a Humanitarian Activity

On Sunday, October 13, 2019, at 4 PM, a group of third year students, Department of English Language, College of Basic Education, volunteered to organize a humanitarian activity under the auspices of Mr. Hassan Basil Abdulqader from the English Language Department, College of Basic Education and Mrs. Marwah Ihsan Abdulghani from the English Language Department, Faculty of Humanities. The idea was to take the orphans of Salih Orphanage in Zakho out to Happy Park and give them a good time outdoors. The orphans were taken out to the park and entertained. The children had a fabulous time playing and singing. After that, they had a lovely dinner and received presents from the students.

Many thanks to Mr. Nizar Tahir Salih, Head of the Administration Section at Faculty of Humanities, who also joined with the group and helped make the day memorable for the children. Special thanks are also due to the Department of English Language, College of Basic Education and third-year students who enthusiastically and voluntarily chose to put a smile on those children’s faces.
