Overview

Climate change is affecting every country on every continent through rising temperatures, extreme weather and pressure on water, food and health. SDG 13 calls for urgent action to strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity, integrate climate measures into national policies, and improve education and awareness on climate change.

Key targets

•      Strengthen resilience and adaptive capacity to climate-related hazards and natural disasters.

•      Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies and planning.

•      Improve education, awareness-raising and institutional capacity on climate mitigation and adaptation.

•      Mobilize climate finance and support for the most vulnerable countries and communities.

The Center's contribution

The Center promotes climate research, carbon footprint awareness on campus, tree-planting and climate education, and provides evidence-based input for local climate adaptation planning.
