Hundreds of millions of people still go to bed hungry, while food systems put growing pressure on land, water and climate. SDG 2 aims to end hunger and malnutrition, double the productivity and income of small-scale food producers, and make agriculture sustainable and resilient.
• End hunger and ensure access to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round.
• End all forms of malnutrition, especially among children, adolescent girls and older persons.
• Double the agricultural productivity and incomes of small-scale food producers.
• Ensure sustainable food production systems and resilient agricultural practices.
Our researchers and students study sustainable agriculture, water-efficient farming, food loss and waste, and nutrition, and the Center connects the University with farmers, cooperatives and agricultural institutions.
• Take part in our campus food-waste reduction campaign.
• Propose a research idea on sustainable farming.
• Attend our World Food Day activities.
