Overview

Education is the most powerful driver of sustainable development. SDG 4 seeks inclusive, equitable and quality education at every level, from early childhood to university and vocational training, and ensures that all learners gain the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.

Key targets

•      Ensure free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education for all girls and boys.

•      Increase access to quality early childhood development and technical, vocational and higher education.

•      Substantially increase the number of youth and adults with relevant skills for employment.

•      Ensure learners acquire the knowledge and skills for sustainable development.

The Center's contribution

As part of a university, education is at the heart of what we do. The Center develops SDG-related courses, workshops and certificates, promotes Education for Sustainable Development, and supports curriculum integration of the Goals across disciplines.
