The University of Zakho has taken further steps to strengthen its international academic partnerships through an official visit by Dr. Jassim M. Abdo, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, to the Iraqi Cultural Attaché and the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, D.C.
During the visit, Dr. Jassim met with officials to discuss opportunities for strengthening academic and research cooperation between the University of Zakho and educational institutions in the United States. The discussions covered joint academic programmes, internationalization initiatives, participation in international conferences, scientific exchange programmes, research visits, and joint research projects.
The meetings also addressed mechanisms for facilitating academic agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), as well as developing sustainable frameworks for cooperation with leading American universities and research institutions.
At the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, D.C., discussions focused on strengthening the University’s international academic and cultural relations and supporting cooperation with educational and research institutions across the United States.
The visit reflects the University of Zakho’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships and creating new opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers through academic cooperation and knowledge exchange.
