The President of the University of Zakho, Dr. Diyar A. Saeed, received Mr. Shivan Mahmoud, Secretary of the Kurdistan Students Union, along with an accompanying delegation, to discuss issues concerning students and their academic and cultural activities at the university. The meeting was held at the Presidency of the University of Zakho in the presence of members of the university community. During the meeting, both sides discussed in detail several important issues related to students’ circumstances, as well as their academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities at the University of Zakho.
In another part of the meeting, the Secretary of the Kurdistan Students Union highlighted the role and position of students in the Zakho Independent Administration, emphasizing that students in the region possess strong capabilities and a high level of academic competence. He reaffirmed that supporting and encouraging students would contribute significantly to developing their abilities and enabling them to become active and influential members in the development and advancement of the country in the future.
For his part, the President of the University of Zakho expressed his appreciation and respect for the union’s efforts and activities. He reaffirmed that the University Presidency would continue to support initiatives and projects that contribute to enhancing students’ academic development, education, and social well-being.
The meeting underscored the importance of cooperation and continued dialogue in supporting students and strengthening their academic and social development, while reaffirming the University of Zakho’s commitment to initiatives that benefit the student community.
