The Directorate of Scientific Research Centers at the University of Zakho serves as a central platform for advancing research, innovation, knowledge creation, and interdisciplinary collaboration across diverse scientific, technological, environmental, social, and cultural fields. Through its specialized research centers and laboratories, the Directorate provides researchers, academic staff, and postgraduate students with access to modern scientific facilities, advanced instrumentation, specialized expertise, training, and technical support. Its research portfolio encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including chemistry, nanotechnology and materials science, biology and biotechnology, engineering and multiphase-flow research, remote sensing and GIS, artificial intelligence and computational sciences, cognitive and neuroscientific research, Kurdish studies, and sustainable development.
