Directorate Overview

The Directorate of Health and Safety at the University of Zakho develops, implements, and enforces environmental, occupational, and operational safety standards across all university faculties, centers, dormitories, and dining facilities.

Vision & Mission

• Vision: To maintain a zero-harm, sustainable campus environment where research, teaching, and residential life thrive under international safety and environmental standards.

• Mission: To prevent workplace and campus injuries (SDG 8), manage biological and chemical waste responsibly (SDG 12), ensure strict food hygiene and water quality in all cafeterias (SDG 2, SDG 6), maintain safe student dormitories (SDG 11), and empower the university community through continuous safety education (SDG 3).
