Students are required to attend all scheduled learning activities for each module, including lectures, laboratory sessions, workshops, and other instructional activities.
A student whose absence exceeds 10% of the required face-to-face learning activities for a module shall be barred from taking the final examination of that module. Such exclusion shall not be counted as an examination attempt.
1. Assessment for each module shall be based on the module workload, final examination, and other approved assessment methods conducted throughout the semester, in accordance with the regulations approved by the Faculty/College.
2. Assessment of practical training, internships, and final-year projects shall be conducted in accordance with the procedures established by the Faculty/College.
3. The minimum passing mark for each module shall be 50 out of 100, provided that the student has participated in all required theoretical and practical components of the final examination.
4. A student shall be permitted to re-sit the final examination of failed modules up to four examination attempts, excluding the first sitting, except for final-year projects, internships, and practical training. However, no more than two examination attempts may be taken during a single academic year.
5. If a student fails to pass a module after four attempts, they shall be permitted to retake the module only in parallel with the regular offering of that module.
1. The course instructor may prohibit a student from taking the final examination if the student has failed to complete all required module activities. Such prohibition shall not count as an examination attempt, and the student shall be required to retake the module (Module Retake).
2. A student has the right to submit a complaint to the Head of the Department if he/she has been barred from taking the final examination by the course instructor.
3. A student may withdraw from the final examination within the period specified by the academic department before the examination begins. Such withdrawal shall not count as an examination attempt.
4. If a student withdraws from the final examination after completing all module requirements, the student shall not be required to retake the module and may only sit for the final examination in a subsequent semester.
5. A student who is unable to attend the final examination due to unforeseen circumstances beyond his/her control may, upon obtaining official approval, benefit from the provisions of Paragraphs (3) and (4) of this Article.
6. The course instructor, through the Examination Committee, shall be responsible for preparing and administering the final examinations.
7. The Examination Committee shall be responsible for announcing the final examination results.
1. If a student is proven to have committed cheating during continuous assessment or the final examination, the student shall receive a Fail grade in all modules registered in that semester.
2. The student shall be required to register for and repeat all such modules in the following semester.
3. If the student had previously completed the coursework for a module but was registered only for the final examination in the current semester, cheating shall also result in a Fail for that module. However, in the following semester, the student shall only be required to re-sit the final examination and shall not be required to repeat the module.
4. If a student commit cheating for a second time during continuous assessment or the final examination, the student's registration shall be cancelled (dismissal from the university records).
1. A student has the right to appeal the results of the final examinations within the period specified by the Examination Committee.
2. If the student is not satisfied with the examination result, he/she may request a re-evaluation through the Examination Office within the period determined by the Examination Committee.
3. After the expiry of the periods specified in Paragraphs (1) and (2), no further appeals shall be accepted.
4. The fee for re-evaluation of each module shall be determined by the university and shall be paid by the student.
The academic ranking of students at the end of each semester shall be determined on the basis of the Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) for students who have successfully completed all registered credits.
Students enrolled in scientific colleges may, after successfully completing the first academic year, transfer to higher-ranking medical colleges in accordance with the applicable regulations, provided that they satisfy all of the following conditions:
1. They have successfully completed at least 60 ECTS credits during the first academic year.
2. They have passed all modules on the first attempt.
3. They rank first among students in their department.
4. Their cumulative average is not less than 80%.
5. They have completed the first academic year at a university recognized under the applicable regulations.
