Module Registration

Article 17

Students shall register for the prescribed modules at the beginning of each academic semester.

Article 18

Module registration shall be completed before the commencement of the academic semester.

Article 19

The maximum number of credits that a student may register for in each Fall or spring semester shall be 30 ECTS credits. A student may be permitted to register for an additional 6 ECTS credits, subject to the approval of the academic department.

Article 20

The maximum number of credits that a student may register for in each Trimester shall be 20 ECTS credits. A student may be permitted to register for an additional 4 ECTS credits, subject to the approval of the academic department.

Article 21

A student may register for co-requisite modules within the academic program, provided that all activities related to the prerequisite module(s) have been completed in previous semesters and the student has sat for the final examination. Passing the prerequisite examination is not required.

Article 22

Within the period specified by the academic department, a student may add, replace, or withdraw modules during the module registration period.

Article 23

A student shall replace any module that has been cancelled by the academic department after registration for any reason.

Article 24

A student who fails to register for any module within the prescribed registration period shall have that semester counted toward the maximum allowable period of study.

Article 25

A student who fails to register for any module for four consecutive semesters shall have his/her registration cancelled (dismissal from the university records) and shall be discontinued from the university, except in cases where an officially approved deferment has been granted.

Article 26

Students are responsible for any errors made during module registration.

Article 27

Tuition Fees for Parallel Study Programs

1.     Tuition fees for a parallel study program shall be determined according to the total number of ECTS credits in the academic program.

2.     Students shall pay tuition fees based on the number of credits registered in each semester.

3.     Students transferring to the parallel study system shall also be subject to the provisions of Paragraphs (1) and (2) of this Article.

4.     The tuition fee for each ECTS credit shall be determined by the Faculty/College and collected from students enrolled in the parallel study program.

5.     If a student adds, replaces, or withdraws from a registered module within the officially approved add/drop period, the tuition fee for that module shall be refunded in proportion to the registered credits.

6.     A student who withdraws from a module after the prescribed withdrawal period shall not be entitled to a refund of the tuition fee for that module.

7.     During credit transfer, the student shall pay the tuition fees applicable at the university where the transferred credits are registered.
