The maximum duration of study for each qualification cycle shall not exceed one and a half (1.5) times the normal duration of the academic program.
If a student exceeds the maximum permitted period of study for a qualification cycle, the student may continue his/her studies under the parallel study system for an additional period not exceeding one-half (0.5) of the normal duration of the academic program.
A student has the right to defer one or more semesters. The maximum period of deferment shall be:
· Short Cycle Programs: up to one-half (0.5) of the normal duration of the program.
· First Cycle Programs (Bachelor's Degree): up to one-half (0.5) of the normal duration of the program.
For Short Cycle programs, a deferment of one semester shall not be counted toward the student's maximum allowable period of study.
For First Cycle (Bachelor's Degree) programs, a deferment of two semesters shall not be counted toward the student's maximum allowable period of study.
